Gaming Improvements:

Microsoft has earlier told that the new Windows 10 Insider Preview build will bring a “technology tailor-made” feature for its users. However, there are no specific details related to this are provided with this release.

Redmond has requested insiders to play State of Decay on Windows 10 Build 18334 for a few hrs to check if the changes made in the gaming section are taking effect or not.

Right now, only a few slots are available for the State of Decay Tests. Microsoft has promised to expand the number of seats in the upcoming weeks.

General changes, improvements, and fixes for PC:

There are numerous changes, improvements and fixes brought with the Build 18334 19H1. They are-

  • Resolved the issue where taskbar icons suddenly become blank.

  • Fixed the bug where cursor size and its color settings don’t persist after an upgrade.

  • Rectified the trouble of Settings crash while handling color filters.

  • Solved the Sign in settings issue which gets generated somehow in a few conditions.

  • Found a solution to the bug where changing the state of Hey Cortana toggle under Settings doesn’t stick.

Known issues:

  • The virus and threat protection under Windows Security may start behaving strangely after update to this release.
  • When night mode is enabled, blue light reduction may not work as planned for several apps.
  • While doing Reset this PC on your device which has enabled Reserved Storage along with the option to keep my files, you have to allow an extra reboot. This will ensure that Reserved Storage works again properly.
  • Microsoft users may not be able to login to their account at first attempt after an update. Just restart the PC and this will address this anomaly.
  • After upgrade to Build 18334, Real-Time Protection may fail to turn on a few options like- Malwarebytes Premium.

There is a list of known issues in this upgrade, however, most of them are alike to the previous release.

Known issues for Developers:

If you are currently a Fast ring user, switching to the slow ring might create some problems. Optional content like developer mode may fail as this works only in the approved ring. Therefore, you have to remain on Fast ring as optional content can be installed only on builds approved for specific rings.
