On January 23, 2020, Microsoft unfolds Windows 10 Build 19551 to the Insiders enrolled in the Fast ring. Along with some known issues, this preview update is released as a minor update that only carries a couple of bug fixes. However, as a 20H2 development branch, there is no addition of any new feature in the releases notes.
With the build 19536 or newer, Windows Update will now list optional updates and it won’t be gets downloaded by itself. The optional updates are – drivers, feature updates, and monthly non-security quality updates. As per the software giant, this experiment will last through March 5, 2020.
According to the company, this specific update of Build 19551 will not install the Optional Drivers by itself. In order to install the new driver including the optional one, you need to navigate to Settings > Update & Security > Windows update. In the right pane, select View optional updates and then download them manually.
