Windows 10 Build 18941 resolves c1900101 related Update issue that appears recently while installing Build 18936. This trouble arises primarily due to a compatibility bug with Storage drivers on your PC. If you notice error code c1900101, your PC may attempt to rollback to the previous build. Though you can address this issue for a short period, you can’t bypass this.

Note: Windows Update will attempt for at least 3 times to correct this bug, however, there are no permanent solutions to this problem.

There is a probability of going under a “boot loop” after receiving this bug on your System. If that’s the case, try out these steps-

  • At first, create a bootable USB recovery drive without ticking against the checkbox “Back up my System files to the recovery drive”.
  • Henceforth, Boot your System using the USB recovery drive.
  • Once it launches, open Command Prompt and type bcdedit /enum {default} near the blinking cursor.
  • The following text lines will appear on the Display Screen.

Note: If there appears a description element indicating “Windows Rollback”, then the device element will start from a ramdisk and you can proceed further. However, if you don’t receive any such elements- Don’t proceed.

  • Succeeding after, note down the recovery sequence GUID value in the {default} entry.
  • Type again bcdedit /default in the Command Prompt.
  • To restart your PC, execute the following command line- wpeutil reboot.
  • After the PC restarts, there appear two choices which are-
  • Here, select the first one if you want to boot back to the previous build. Similarly, if you select the other option, this will clean up the recovery entry.
