Symptom Workaround

After installing KB4467684, the cluster service may fail and display the following error –

 “2245 (NERR_PasswordTooShort)”

This happens only if the group policy “Minimum Password Length” is set to use characters more than 14.

You should customize the “Minimum Password Length” policy to use characters either less than or equal to 14.

While carrying out certain operations like renaming of files or folders that are on a Cluster Shared Volume, the following issue pops in –

The above error message appears only when you try executing a few operations on a CSV owner node without having full rights to do so.

To mitigate this, try one of the following –

  • Login as an Admin first then only perform such tasks.
  • Carry out the operation using a node that doesn’t require CSV ownership

Note: The team is investigating the underlying causes behind the above errors. They may bring the resolution (once developed) in an upcoming future release.
