With Build 17763.914, you may receive an error when performing certain operations, for example, rename, on files or folders.

Generally, it happens while using Cluster Shared Volume (CSV). After that, you will experience an error message that appears while the execution is -“STATUS_BAD_IMPERSONATION_LEVEL (0xC00000A5)”.

It occurs since the process does not have an administrator authorization. Also, the operation performs on the CVS owner node.

Do one of the following:

  • Perform the operation using a process that holds admin authorities.
  • Use a node that does not have CSV ownership and then perform the task.

As per the software giant, when you install KB4493509, devices with some Asian language packs installed may struggle with an error. This bug is identified as “0x800f0982 – PSFX_E_MATCHING_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND”.

Important – If reinstalling the language pack does not lessen the issue, try to reset your PC as follows –

  1. Open the Settings (Win+I) app > Recovery.
  2. Under Reset this PC recovery option, select Get Started
  3. Choose Keep my Files.

Microsoft team has rolled out this update straight to the Windows Update client to increase reliability. Any device running Windows 10 configured to receive updates by itself from Windows Update. This feature update will also be offered to the Enterprise and Professional editions. Furthermore, the update process mainly depends upon Windows Update for Business deferral policy and device compatibility. This is not applicable to long-term servicing editions.
