Microsoft rolls cumulative update KB4522015 for Windows 10 1809 users which takes the existing OS to build 17763.740. This is basically a security patch that comes to improve the functioning of Internet Explorer. While executing operations like renaming of files and folders without having Admin rights, there may arise an error message. The bug which appears is-

“STATUS_BAD_IMPERSONATION_LEVEL (0xC00000A5)”.

This issue usually occurs when you perform the above operations on a CSV owner node. 

To mitigate this bug, follow any of the following two ways-

  • At first, sign in as an Administrator then only perform such operations.
  • Alternatively, execute the functions on a node that doesn’t need CSV ownership. 
On installing KB4493509, devices with some Asian language packs installed may encounter an error. The prompted error message is- “0x800f0982 – PSFX_E_MATCHING_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND.”
  1. Firstly, uninstall and reinstall any recently added language packs.
  2. Click on Check for Updates and then install the April 2019 Cumulative Update.

Note- In case, reinstalling the language pack does not diminish the issue, then reset your device as given-

  1. Go to the Settings app > Recovery.
  2. Select Get Started under the Reset this PC recovery option.
  3. Select Keep my Files.

Basically, this trouble arises when you try signing into your PC for the first time after installing the latest cumulative update.

Alongside 17763.740, Applications and scripts that call the NetQueryDisplayInformation API or the WinNT provider equivalent may fail to return effects after the first page of data, usually 50 or 100 entries. After installing KB4522015, users may get a “15-5” error message on Windows Mixed Reality Portal.

In some cases, the above universal windows platform app may pronounce that the headset is sleeping. If you click on “Wake up”, this might result in “no action”.

To fix this anomaly, simply follow these steps-

  1. Close the Windows Mixed Reality Portal, if it is running.
  2. Open Task Manager by selecting the Start button and typing “task manager.
  3. In Task Manager, under the Processes tab, right-click Windows Explorer and select Restart.
  4. Open the Windows Mixed Reality Portal.

Some Input Method Editor (IME) starts absorbing high CPU usage or even becomes unresponsive at times. 

Some of the affected IMEs might include-

  • Chinese Simplified (ChsIME.EXE)
  • Chinese Traditional (ChtIME.EXE) with Changjie/Quick keyboard.

This glitch may re-appear when the Handwriting Panel Service as well as Touch Keyboard are not configured to use default settings manually. To fix this issue, one should follow these easy steps-

  1. Select the Start button and type “services”.
  2. Open the Services app and locate Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service.
  3. Double-click Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service and select Properties.
  4. Locate Startup type: and change it to Manual thereafter hit OK.

Once you complete the above instructions, the default service will be the TabletInputService. Succeeding this, IMEs should work exactly as we hoped for.
