Symptom Workaround

You may experience the following error while executing certain operations like renaming of files or folders – “STATUS_BAD_IMPERSONATION_LEVEL (0xC00000A5)”. 

This occurs basically if you are on a Cluster Shared Volume and seek the above operations on a CSV owner node without possessing Administrative privileges.

To fix this anomaly, try any of these operations- 

  • Execute this operation using a Process that does have the administrator privilege. 
  • Carry out the functions using a node that doesn’t require CSV ownership.

With KB4511553, if you install KB4493509, devices with some Asian language packs installed may confront the error, “0x800f0982 – PSFX_E_MATCHING_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND.”

  1. Go to the Settings app –> Update & Security –> Recovery.
